Sadler’s Wells’ spring

I have watched new Sadler’s Wells video for  iTMOi dance performance by Akram Khan Company. It looks amazing so I thought I would share with few other people. It will be shown at Sadler’s Wells from 28th of May to 1st of June. I need to find the time to see it!

Find the video in here:

Here is the short description from the theater site:

iTMOi (in the mind of igor) is Khan’s first full-length ensemble piece since Vertical Road in 2010 and is inspired by the work of prolific composer Igor Stravinsky. Created in the 100th year since Stravinsky’s iconic Le Sacre du Printemps (The Rite of Spring) was composed, iTMOi explores the human condition and the way in which Stravinsky transformed the classical music world by evoking emotions through pattern, rooted in the concept of a woman dancing herself to death.

Featuring an original score by Nitin Sawhney, Jocelyn Pook and Ben Frost, iTMOi is yet another extraordinary artistic collaboration from Khan and a talented artistic team including costume designer Kimie Nakano, dramaturge Ruth Little and an international cast of 11 dancers.
